Artstation #TopsyTurvyJam - Substance Designer

Jolly little substance that i did for the Artstation #TopsyTurvyJam . First it said Thug Life but then i saw a discussion on a game dev channel about how to deal with depression and what came to my mind was to channel your dark thoughts into creativity. So i thought why not make the slogan "tough life"?
This started as randomized mechanical shapes for one of my hard scifi materials. I have no idea how and why it took such a turn but i swear no drugs were involved! ;) Inspiration sources include The Simpsons and Don Hertzfeldt.
