Cracked Ice Lake - Substance

This is a substance that i created last year for the game Insurgency: Sandstorm by New World Interactive. The challenge was that i was only allowed to use a standard PBR material, no fancy shader tricks or SSS to create the illusion of depth. So instead i relied on the albedo map mostly and used different layering techniques to fake depth.

One of the tricks that i used to fake depth was to slightly shift  channels of the albedo colors, similar to chromatic abberation effect.
