I'm a huge fan of Kerbal Space Program and even tho i don't have the time to get involved in modding i wanted to find out if i could make the textures for custom planets and moons in Substance Designer. Making a tiling fully procedural material with minimal distortion on a sphere required to figure out some tricks. For inspiration on this particular planet i looked at refs from Mercury and the Moon. Next i want to work on a Jupiter like gas giant. Maybe this can become a small series.
