Adobe Signature Collection - Meteorites and Asteroids

In 2025 i had the fantastic opportunity to create my own Substance Source Signature Collection in collaboration with the Adobe Substance 3D team.
My collection is a series of 10 fully parametric substance files that cover celestial objects and surfaces - from big objects like stars to closeups of the inside of a meteorite. To learn more about the project please read the accompanying article on Behance:

These two substances are based on images of iron meteorites and iron asteroids. Both are fully parametric and allow to go in more creative and fantastic directions with the surfaces for use as more alien surfaces.

Generally i like the look that adding a bit of curvature can add to a material but often it looks too procedural and uniform. What i like to do is blend it with an inverted version of itself to deal with these issues.

For the surface streaks i created a mask from a highpass and then used a bunch of non-uniform warps.

A neat little custom node that i sometimes use is the STW Stylize Remove Pixels. It's great for stylizing things or in this case to ensure the Dirt noise is not too noisy.
